William, deceased, and Ellen Mcgrath

Nano/Hannah/Hanorah McGrath was the first member of this family to arrive appears to have
been daughter
Nano McGrath aged 20 [DOB 1821]aboard the Livingston in 1841.
Nano/Hannah/Hanorah married
Richard Maher.

Ellen McGrath aged 46 [DOB 1808 - did she lie about her age?] and son William
aged 21 ]DOB 1833] arrived on the Ben Nevis in 1854. They state that Nano and
Mary are already in the colony. I have not been able to find Mary as yet.

Michael McGrath baptised 26th May 1830, Thurles, son of William McGrath and Ellen Doyle.
Dos not appear to have come to NSW.

Ellen McGrath [junior] Possible baptism 14th July 1833 daughter of William McGrath and
Ellen Doyle. Sponors Patrick Ryan and Bridget Shaunessy. A
rrived on the David McIvor in 1854
aged 18 [DOB 1836]
 sisters Mary and Nano are in the colony. [Married Michael Dwyer?]
Deposit paid by
Daniel Maher brother of Richard Maher.

Patrick McGrath
, another possible sibling arrived in 1860 aboard the Hannah More, his
deposit being paid by Nano's husband
Richard Maher.

William McGrath junior was regularly in gaol for drunken behaviour [Trove] He was sent to
Darlinghurst Asylum in 1884 by a doctors order.

Margaret McGrath: mentioned in a newspaper report dated 8th Jaunuary 1857 [Maitland
Mercury] as sister of Honorah Maher.
Possible baptism June 1818, Clonoulty, daughter of
William McGrath, a gradener of Marlow and Ellen Doyle. Sponsors Judith Maher and Larry
McGrath. OR 11th May 1824 at Thurles [Marg?y?] This may be a daughter named Mary or a
second daughter Margaret abbreviated. NOTE: Indexed as Mono but it is not Nano.

John Magrath [sic] baptised 20th March 1816, father William Magrath a gardener of Marlow.
Sponsors Michael Meagher and Catherine Dwyer. Does not appear to have come to Australia.
