Albert John Hickson and Daisy Searle
Albert John Hickson was born 19th June, 1910, Redfern, son of George
Thomas Hickson and Sarah Jane Tune. On 12th October 1917, Albert was
admitted to the Mittagong Farm Home for Boys with older brother Leslie on a
charge of stealing. He was aged seven years and six months at the time. The 1936
Electoral roll shows Albert, a cleaner,  residing at 1 Cromwell Street, Croydon
with his parents and siblings.

Daisy Searle was born at Ashfield in 1909 [ref22290] daughter of George
James Searle and Emily Anna Papworth,  

Known Addresses: The 1930 Electoral Roll shows daisy, a biscuit packer,
residing at 93 Frederick Street, Ashfield. The 1936 Electoral Roll shows daisy, a
biscuit packer, residing at 40 John Street, Ashfield with her parents and siblings.
1943 Electoral Roll shows Albert and daisy residing at 33 Chiswick Street, Enfield.
1949&54 Electoral rolls show Albert residing with brother Ernest and his wife
jean. There is no entry for daisy.

Marriage: Albert married Daisy at Ashfield on 18th June, 1938 [ref 7034].

Children: Albert and Daisy had two daughters.

Albert's known occupations were cleaner, tram driver and sheet metal worker.

At the time of his death his usual residence was 7 Churchill Ave, Strathfield NSW.

Albert died on 17th December, 1968 at the Royal North Shore Hostpital at St
Leonards [ref 39476] Cause of death was cerebral glioma. He is buried in the
Anglican of England Lawn Cemetery, Section 2, Row 12, Grave 421,  at
Rookwood.  Daisy died of a heart attack at Sydney on 26th May, 1973 [ref 2908]
She is buried with Albert.
