Great Great Grandparents

John Gavin [Gavan, Gaven] was born in Wexford, Ireland about 1819, son of John Gavin [as

was a farm labourer and ploughman.

Mary [Maria] Murphy [Murphey] was born about 1832 in Wexford Ireland, daughter of Moses
Murphy. She was Roman Catholic, although an interesting remark in her shipping records
appears to read 'may change'.  Mary was a milk churner. She could read.

March 1854 at Enniscorthy, County Wexford, Ireland. The grooms father was John Gavin and
the brides father was Moses Murphy. [Civil Registration ref Volume 5 page 672]

marriage does not appear to have been in a catholic church as it does not appear in the Co
