In April of 2015 Geoffrey and I went to Gallipoli to commemorate the 100th
anniversary of the landing of Australian and New Zealand troops at what was to
become known as Anzac Cove. My grandfather Ernest Henry Hickson was with the
3rd battalion who landed about 10.00am on 25th April 1915. The following photos
show Anzac Cove and Lone Pine just days before the official 100th commemoration

Sphinx' by the troops after it's namesake in Egypt.
